IntelliPen

IntelliPen includes the IntelliCalcs calculation engine, IntelliCase workflow management, IntelliScan document management, IntelliSite web site management, IntelliFeed data importing and IntelliPay pensioner payroll modules. IntelliCount is a complementary product for pension cashbook and accounting. IntelliPen can be operated in-house or as a software as a service (SaaS) model.

IntelliPen

  • Self Service

    IntelliPen is a thin-client browser based system built on Windows Server, IIS and SQL Server and includes integrated member self-service websites, and scheme/trustee websites. All IntelliPen functionality is available through a web interface providing simple deployment options and enabling flexible staffing models.

  • DB/DC/Hybrid support

    IntelliPen supports full DB, DC, Hybrid, CARE schemes. Cashbalance scheme management is fully supported in our IntelliPlan US system, which is sold and supported by a partner company in North America but could be easily integrated back into IntelliPen.

  • Security

    IntelliPen provides comprehensive and user configurable security mechanisms that support role and privilege based access control. Access is on a least-privilege basis to pages, functions, reports etc. IntelliPen security also supports a complementary level access mechanism that restricts access based on security level as well as role.

  • Risk Benefit Status and Underwriting Details

    IntelliPen provides histories for storing life assurance information and risk premiums. There are also extracts for generating life assurance premium schedules that can be sent to providers in industry standard formats.

    IntelliPen also provides Excel spreadsheets for remote uploading of data through web services, such as contribution data and HR information.

  • Investment Switching including Lifestyling

    IntelliPen supports balanced switches and profile based life-styling, using either individual or group profiles. Monetary fixed switches are a planned development in the next release available Q4 2012.

  • Unit Pricing

    The system stores complete unit price histories for fund valuations and forward dealing. Procentia are a member of the IMDG straight through processing group and are implementing support for Swift based up to the second unit price and immediate unit transactions.

  • Collections

    IntelliPen integrates to standard industry collections mechanisms such as direct debit to deliver regular premium processing. There is full premium expectation processing and payroll integration capability to support multiple sources of premium determination.

  • Bulk Statement Production

    The IntelliPen document management facility includes full functionality for bulk statement production including benefit statements, valuation extracts and group deferment quotations. Bulk statements can be scheduled using the IntelliPen batch-processing engine to run overnight or at scheduled times.

  • Management Information & Reporting Functionality

    IntelliPen provides standard scheme reporting facilities such as membership stats and movements, as well as comprehensive case processing and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management reporting.

    IntelliPen also includes a thin-client (web enabled) report writer for developing quick reports and data extracts. The IntelliPen database is also fully compatible with 3rd party reporting solutions such as SQL Server Reporting Services or Crystal Reports.


IntelliCalcs

  • Automated Processing

    Deployments of IntelliPen have achieved 100% automation of calculations across a wide variety of schemes. This enables a high degree of automation, as our workflows can be event triggered and run without user involvement to completion. For example automatic refunds can be calculated, taxed and paid out with accompanying letters, all with no human involvement.

  • Standard Member/Client Letters

    IntelliPen has comprehensive document production facilities based upon an XML pipeline model. This allows the same data sources to produce Word documents or PDF files etc. We provide a number of standard letters but clients usually customise and extend these to their own requirements.

  • Data Extract & Interface Capabilities

    IntelliPen has facilities for extracting data in a number of ways: from simple report extracts with output to CSV, Excel, fixed format etc. to complex nested extracts in XML with conversion to commercial standards such as the HRMC Government Gateway. IntelliPen can also archive members as a complete XML document with subsequent import of the XML document if required.

  • History and Audit Trails

    IntelliPen tracks all updates, insertions and deletions in audit tables with associated session records. Standard audit enquiry facilities and reports are included in the system. Additionally each data panel has the capability to show the audits that have been made to its data in a pop-up window.

  • Benefit Quotations

    Benefit quotations for DB/DC, Hybrid, AVC, Cashbalance and Projected Benefits schemes use the IntelliCalcs calculation engine for back-office, member web and document based benefit quotations. This ensures members receive exactly the same quotations in both letters and through the website.

  • Stand-Alone Calculations

    IntelliCalcs is designed so that it can be deployed as a stand-alone calculations engine that can be used by any SQL-based pensions administration system. Received requests are processed using calculations formulae held in a database, and member and scheme data accessed through a data dictionary. Results are output in XML that can be transformed using XSL into HTML or other formats.

  • Flexibility and Performance

    IntelliCalcs uses a combined parameters and code approach to scheme implementation, as opposed to a fully parameterised one, ensuring that it is completely flexible in the type and complexity of plans it supports. From our long experience of fully automating pensions calculations this approach offers the best balance of bespoke calculations delivered from calculation sets that can be reused.

IntelliPay

  • Pension Payroll

    IntelliPay is a fully integrated module within IntelliPen that provides complete pensioner payroll functionality including generation of BACS files, payslip reports and full payroll balancing reports. IntelliPay is truly integrated, not interfaced solution meaning that new pensioners, deaths and changes in pension sources can be immediately processed. Death retractions, arrears and overpayment processing are supported automatically.

  • Real Time Information (RTI)

    IntelliPay includes full support for the new HMRC Real Time Information feeds via the Government Gateway. The full range of RTI forms are supported; Full Payment Submission (FPS), Employer Payment Summary (EPS), Employer Alignment Submission (EAS) and NINO (National Insurance number) Verification Request (NVR). Support is still provided for the previously required P14/P35, P45 and P46 forms for clients who have not on-boarded with RTI yet.

IntelliCase

  • Integrated workflow & tracking

    IntelliPen includes the IntelliCase workflow engine and IntelliScan document management facility, both of which are fully integrated into the product suite. This not only keeps software costs down but also it reduces the number of packages that users have to be trained to use and the integration is seamless. IntelliPen is supplied with a standard suite of common workflow processes that can be customised to exactly fit a client’s requirements.

    IntelliPen can either be driven through IntelliCase or can integrate with any corporate enterprise wide workflow or case management such as MS Dynamics or Pega.

IntelliScan

  • Automated Processing

    IntelliScan links IntelliPen to scanning hardware to enable automated workflow triggering and images of incoming documents to be stored alongside a record of all documents produced by IntelliPen. Some IntelliPen processes that are triggered by IntelliScan reading barcodes that then runs through to completion without any manual administration effort.

IntelliSite

  • Member Self Service

    Increasingly members are taking advantage of self-service. Though take-up has been slow in the industry there are now a generation approaching retirement that expect to be able to run their own illustrations of retirement benefits and to carry out simple administration tasks such as beneficiary nomination.

  • Workforce flexibility

    All administrations functions can be operated through the web interface. Whereas no scheme is likely to offer all their members such full-unfettered access, this flexibility does allow a scheme administrator to operate across sites, offer homeworking to key staff and to flex the size of their operation without installation of software onto desktops.

  • Trustee Support

    IntelliSite builds rich trustee websites with access to all meeting documents via tablets, with full login security and variable access rights. Graphical SLA reports are deployable via the trustee website to give up-to-the-minute metrics on administration compliance.

IntelliFeed

  • Bulk Upload functionality

    Included within IntelliPen is the IntelliFeed data import facility which uses definition files to import fixed format files, CSV and XML files into holding tables, from where they can be edited, validated using defined rules and processed into the main member database. This has been used for interfaces from SAP, Peoplesoft, and other HR and payroll products. Bulk interfaces can also trigger workflows for further processing of imported data.

IntelliCount

  • Treasury

    IntelliCount is our solution for cashbook accounting and treasury management of pension scheme accounts. IntelliCount is integrated with IntelliPen for automatic cashbook transaction generation and confirmation of cheques etc. Full SORP reporting and quarterly tax returns are generated by IntelliCount at the click of a button.
